I am a freelance journalist specialising in biosciences, medicine and health policy.
I have a BSc in Biomedical Sciences and an MA in Journalism Studies, both from the University of Sheffield.
You may have read my work in The Lancet, Pulse, BMJ, Nursing Times, European Heart Journal, Chemist and Druggist, OTC, Pregnancy and Birth magazine to name but a few.
I was also a health reporter for BBC News online for four years.
Since training as a manuscript editor at The Lancet Oncology, I have gained extensive sub-editing experience across journals, magazines, online and have fine-tuned academic papers prior to submission.
These days I also spend quite a bit of time teaching and work as an associate lecturer in journalism at the University of Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam University.
